Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by guiding associates, teaching training, actively listening, and providing feedback while touring stores.
Responsibilities- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction.
- Introduce and lead company change efforts, set clear expectations, and guide teams to implement business solutions.
- Model exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Support community outreach programs, resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues, and develop action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Drive financial performance and sales of designated store areas by reviewing profit/loss statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes while mitigating shrink and meeting sales and profit goals.
- Supervise hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, recognize achievements, and promote a sense of belonging and equity.
- Coordinate job-related activities, build relationships with stakeholders, and support plans that meet customer and business needs.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; uphold the Open Door policy and promote integrity and accountability.
- Cultivate a workplace that respects individuality, embraces diversity, and fosters belonging by building strong relationships, communication, and collaboration.
- Attract, retain, and develop talent, recognizing contributions while acting with integrity and humility.
- Serve customers and members by delivering results, applying EDLP and EDLC business models, and making data-driven decisions that balance short‑term and long‑term priorities.
- Strive for excellence by adopting new technologies, encouraging continuous improvement, taking calculated risks, and learning from mistakes.
- 2 years of college, or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements: a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- All associates required to attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
