Route Driver - Vending

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Route Driver – Vending position at Canteen located at 909 East Morton Avenue, Jacksonville, IL 62650. Applications are accepted online only.

  Full‑time, Monday‑Friday with optional Saturday 4‑hour shifts; start times 5:00 am or 6:00 am (hours may vary; details discussed during interview)
• Pay Range: $19.23 to $28.80 per hour
• Required:
  
  Valid driver’s license; prior driving experience preferred

The Route Driver operates the company vehicle over an established route to deliver products and service vending machines. The driver represents the company and maintains positive client and customer relationships. The position offers advancement opportunities into entry‑level management.

• Maintain inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines
• Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at client locations
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in all aspects of job performance
• Inform clients of new products or services, listen to and resolve service complaints
• Set up merchandise and sales‑promotion displays or issue materials to customers
• Accountable for receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, and cash
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 3 years driving experience required
• Valid Non‑CDL Class C driver’s license (unless otherwise required)
• Preferred 1–2 years experience in a customer‑service position or 1 year related experience
• Proficiency with handheld computer (training provided)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
• Willingness to operate or learn material‑handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.)
• Ability to work independently; responsible for route and work unsupervised 98 % of the work day
