The Accounts Payable Coordinator supports the financial operations behind every home we build by managing invoice processing, vendor payments, and job cost tracking across multiple projects. This fast-paced, detail-driven role directly impacts cash flow and vendor relationships and requires strong organization, accuracy, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, review, code, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Enter invoices into Quick Books Online and verify correct job cost allocation
- Cross-check invoices against purchase orders and approved budgets; quickly resolve discrepancies
- Process approximately 150 to 250 invoices per week with accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate clearly with project managers and office staff regarding budget or PO inconsistencies
- Interact professionally and confidently with vendors and subcontractors regarding payment schedules, questions, or discrepancies
- Run weekly accounts payable reports and process payments based on approved schedules
- Prepare and issue checks and electronic payments as needed
- Match and reconcile company credit card statements and receipts
- Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation
- Assist in refining and improving accounting processes, workflows, and documentation systems
- Support overall financial accuracy across multiple active residential construction projects
- 5 years of Accounting experience or a degree with 2 years of experience (Required)
- 5 years of Accounts Payable experience or a degree with 2 years of experience (Required)
- Construction accounting experience preferred
- Quick Books Online experience required
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Hyphen, and Outlook preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Associate degree preferred
- $17.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
