Job Description
Performs difficult clerical work providing a variety of office assistance services to Senior Services; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision of the In-Home Program Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities
Provides general clerical, typing, copying and filing services; answering telephone calls; assisting the public and supervisor; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)
- Types correspondence, memoranda, reports and other materials from rough draft, copy, notes or verbal instruction.
- Checks and reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness and conformance to established standards.
- Greets visitors and/or applicants and responds to a variety of questions and requests; refers to proper personnel.
- Collects and prepares data for records and reports; prepares routine reports.
- Issues various licenses and permits, notary applications, etc.
- Composes routine correspondence.
- Posts and makes entries in account books and other records.
- Makes arithmetical calculations; types purchase orders.
- Maintains official County records, records County documents ensuring all documents have been completed with necessary signatures and pertinent information.
- Performs specialized department tasks and duties as assigned.
- Submit verified service hours for billing and reimbursement purposes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding protected health information (PHI) and maintaining confidentiality when handling medical records and patient data.
- Duplicates a variety of documents and materials for use by staff.
- Operates standard office, word processing and data entry equipment.
- Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member.
- Performs related tasks as required.
Thorough knowledge of social, economic and health problems; general knowledge of social institutions and the methods of the helping process; general knowledge of individual and group behavior; ability to identify social problems and needs and to assess the ability of senior citizens to utilize services in problem solving; ability to plan and organize work; and to understand and interpret laws, policies and regulations;
ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, other professional and technical staff, social agencies and the general public; ability to prepare reports and maintain records. Adhere to acceptable documentation standards for HCCBG, FCSP, and ADC programs to ensure records remain audit-ready and compliant with state and AAA requirements.
