An established commercial drywall contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The company specializes in commercial drywall and interior construction, with a strong pipeline of projects and an established presence in the market.
This position offers the opportunity to combine estimating and project management, giving the successful candidate involvement across both preconstruction and project delivery. The role would suit someone who enjoys being involved from initial pricing through to project completion.
The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial drywall professional with strong estimating and project management experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams.
AboutThe Role
- Estimate commercial drywall and interior construction projects.
- Complete quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
- Manage projects from award through final completion.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
- Handle RFIs, change orders, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and overall performance.
- Coordinate project activities with field operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support the transition from estimating through project delivery and closeout.
- Commercial drywall / interior construction experience required.
- Previous project management and project delivery experience.
- Strong understanding of construction takeoffs, pricing, and commercial project scopes.
- Experience with OST, Quick Bid, and Procore.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
