Student Services Specialist

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Student Services Specialist. This role involves providing comprehensive customer service and support to students, families, faculty, staff, and campus partners across multiple service areas, handling inquiries through various communication channels, resolving issues, and collaborating with university departments to facilitate accurate and timely service delivery.

• Assist with front-line and back-office operations within the university's One Stop student services center.
• Deliver support via in-person, phone, email, and case management approaches.
• Help students and families navigate university processes such as Academic Advising, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration and Records, and Student Accounts.
• Communicate policies, procedures, and deadlines effectively to customers.
• Research and resolve routine customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure service accuracy and timeliness.
• Required to have a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in higher education settings preferred.
• Position is full-time temporary staff, 40 hours per week, with a hybrid work schedule.
• Compensation is $20.00 per hour with an estimated appointment duration of six months or longer.
