the Temporary Dutch Language Instructor is a full-time, on-site role located in Stone Bay, Sneads Ferry, NC. This instructor will deliver Dutch language instruction to adult learners, using approved curricula and methodologies to build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills aligned with mission requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting classroom lessons, developing exercises and assessments, monitoring learner progress, and adjusting instruction to meet varied proficiency levels.

The instructor will create culturally informed content, maintain accurate records of attendance and performance, and collaborate with training staff to ensure course objectives and timelines are met. The role also involves preparing lesson materials, providing feedback to learners, and supporting continuous improvement of the language training program.

• Language instruction skills, including Language Teaching and Teaching, with proven ability to teach Dutch to adult learners.
• Curriculum and classroom preparation capabilities, including Lesson Planning and Education, to design and deliver effective courses and activities.
• Academic and cultural expertise, including familiarity with Dutch Literature or related studies, to enrich language learning with cultural context.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch, with strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Experience teaching in military, government, or adult-education settings, preferably in intensive or immersion environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt methods to diverse learning styles.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Linguistics, Dutch language, or a related field; relevant certifications in language teaching are a plus.
• Ability to work on-site Stone Bay, NC, pass any required background checks, and comply with organizational and security protocols.
