Responsibilities Duties- Assist in the execution of projects to improve safety and reduce product manufacturing costs.
- Conduct time studies to define manufacturing cost (labor routings).
- Develop/maintain/implement process standards and manufacturing documentation (Operational Method Sheets, work instructions, value stream map, etc.).
- Review Bill of Materials for errors and production consumption variances, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead 6S organization projects and present results to cross-functional teams.
- Advocate behavior-based safety in all aspects of plant operations. Identify efforts to improve workplace ergonomics.
- Participate in daily communication meetings and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with supervisors, factory managers, engineers, and production associates.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program.
- Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to interview others to collect information.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, lead small projects, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques
- Project Management experience
- Experience with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD (Solid Works, AutoCAD or similar)
