Qualifications & DesiredExperience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong experience serving as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings, preferably with elementary-aged students
- EIPA score (or equivalent interpreting certification) preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and organization skills
- Provide 1:1 interpreting services for a designated elementary student during school hours
- Facilitate communication between the student, staff, and classmates in both classroom and communal activities
- Support instructional goals and student engagement by accurately interpreting verbal and signed communications
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to address student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and ethical standards
