Cedar Park Group is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide services in a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Mother Baby Unit, and Labor & Delivery Unit.
Schedule- 24 hours per day, 7 days per week coverage
- Two 13-hour shifts per day
- One NNP assigned per shift
- Each shift includes one 30-minute unpaid meal break and one 30-minute compensated handoff
- Provide comprehensive medical assessment, examination, consultation, diagnosis, and treatment plans for neonates.
- Provide neonatal resuscitation, conventional ventilation, stabilization and maintenance of Level II neonatal care, and prescribe medications, including controlled substances.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, radiographic procedures, and other diagnostic tests.
- Perform procedures as credentialed, including endotracheal intubation, phlebotomy, central venous line placement, umbilical line placement, lumbar puncture, bladder catheterization, thoracentesis, and chest tube placement.
- Attend routine and high-risk deliveries as a member of the Resuscitation Team.
- Provide care for neonates awaiting transport, arriving from higher-level NICUs, and attending routine NICU follow-up appointments.
- Provide clinical instruction to students and resident physicians.
- Perform duties under the clinical direction of a designated Neonatologist.
- National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Current unrestricted Neonatal Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum three years of experience within the last five years as a Nurse Practitioner in a Level II or higher neonatal unit.
- Clinical experience within the past two years sufficient to demonstrate current clinical competency.
- Current DEA registration prior to beginning performance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain required credentials and clinical privileges before beginning work.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods and perform normal ambulation.
