Job Description:
This PACU Registered Nurse contract offers a chance to work in a staffed and well-equipped surgical setting in Jacksonville, NC. You’ll be covering 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing post-anesthesia care to surgical patients immediately after their procedures. The role involves managing airway management, pain control, vital sign monitoring, and other post-operative needs for patients transported directly from the operating room.
The unit’s nurse-to-patient ratio remains one to one, emphasizing focused patient attention. This assignment is unique in its on-call requirements, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays, with the expectation to float within similar acuity areas when needed. Experience with pediatric patients in the OR, along with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, is essential. Candidates with at least one year of PACU experience in a hospital setting are encouraged to apply.
The position promises a steady weekly gross pay of approximately $1,628.70 based on a 36-hour workweek over 13 weeks.
