Job TitleRegistered Nurse – PACU

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends and Holidays Required | On-Call Required (typically 1 night per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and care for patients in an 8-bay Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) immediately following surgery on a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and all post-surgical needs until the patient is ready for transport to the next level of care
- Collaborate as part of a team-based Surgical Services unit with a focus on patient safety and patient satisfaction
- Provide on-call coverage as assigned, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Float to units of like acuity or less as needed
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of one year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
- Pediatric (Peds) experience in the OR required
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required and in hand at time of submission
- Current Nursys report dated within the past 7 days must be included with submittal
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission; RTO submitted after presentation will not be honored
- Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical services environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse post-surgical patient populations including pediatric patients
- Work alongside board-certified surgeons and experienced clinical staff utilizing the latest surgical technology and equipment
