RN - Pediatric

Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, with on-call requirement including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is a highly skilled 8 bay unit providing essential care following surgical procedures. The PACU RN will monitor patients on a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring safety and quality of care as they recover from anesthesia. Responsibilities include managing airways, pain levels, and vital signs, alongside providing comprehensive support for all post-surgical needs.

• Monitor patient vital signs and surgical recovery in PACU.
• Manage patient airways and pain levels effectively.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Transport patients back to ASU with appropriate monitoring.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding postoperative care.

• Minimum one year of PACU experience in a main hospital setting.
• Pediatric OR experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Active RN license compliant with state regulations.
