Nurse Educator ICU-IMCU

Plan, implement, and evaluate education systems, programs, projects and policies that promote and support the accomplishment of our organizational goals. Participate in skills validation components of orientation for newly hired staff, assist in planning and implementing in-services and educational programs primarily for the Critical Care staff

Education/Certification:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred with specialty certification in Critical Care.

Licensed as RN in the State of North Carolina.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months, Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) within 6 months, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 90 days, and willing to obtain instructor certification for each

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in Critical Care. Previous teaching experience in a formalized educational setting helpful. Knowledge of adult-learning principles and planning educational activities.
