Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Groundskeeper
This is a temporary, seasonal (roughly April to October) position and does not qualify for benefits.
Performs semiskilled work in the maintenance and landscape of the County's buildings, facilities, and grounds, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.

Position will assist the Maintenance Technician in the grounds maintenance of the County's various buildings and sites. Duties will include, but are not limited to trash pickup, trimming, edging, plant bed maintenance, mowing, pruning of trees and bushes, and other assigned task.
General knowledge of tools, materials and equipment used in turf grass, horticulture and maintenance work; general knowledge of the materials, equipment, tools and techniques of the standard building trades; some knowledge of safety precautions applicable to job duties; ability to understand and follow instructions in both oral and written form; ability to operate simple machinery and equipment; good physical condition; general landscaping knowledge, ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.

- High school diploma or GED and moderate experience in landscape maintenance work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
