Part-Time Temporary Security Officer

Provide for the safety of all individuals frequenting Coastal Carolina Community College, maintaining security and fire protection for facilities and capital equipment assets on campus, and preparing security related reports. This position is available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Patrol campus on foot and in vehicles.
• Complete written accident reports on campus and at off‑campus extension sites.
• Write tickets and direct traffic during peak periods and special events.
• Maintain security and fire protection for campus facilities and capital equipment.
• Prepare security related reports.
• Deliver excellent oral and written communication and customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Six months of security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• CPR/First Responder certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, Saturday–Sunday–Monday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and good customer service skills.
• Must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within 30 days of selection.

• Standard working hours:
  Saturday – Monday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Salary: $18.00 per hour.
