Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior accountant. Primarily you will assist management with the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting ensuring adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and leading team projects.
Duties include:
- Create and submit journal entries for approval with supporting documentation
- Reconcile complex accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial records for discrepancies and make necessary corrections if necessary
- Provide timely feedback to Staff and Junior Accountants
- Work cross functionally with other departments as needed
- Training junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements for Anticimex, Turner and other standard accounting procedures
- Proficient knowledge of accounting software programs
- Preparing annual budgets
Ideal candidates will:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification seeking or obtained
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or another related field
- Have at least 5 years of accounting experience
- Ability to review work papers prepared by junior staff
- Ability to work independently
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed
- Have strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrate ability to lead a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be willing to continuously strive to further knowledge and experience
- Be well-organized
