In the dynamic Energy and Utilities sector, we are seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic catalyst for organizational growth and operational excellence. This principal-level role is pivotal in aligning human capital strategies with complex business objectives, ensuring the workforce is equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of energy markets. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving cultural initiatives, talent optimization, and change management efforts that directly impact the bottom line.

This position demands a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and the ability to deliver high-impact HR solutions that foster resilience and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with executive leadership to formulate and execute comprehensive human resource strategies that support long-term business goals within the energy and utility framework.
  • Serve as a primary consultant on complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lead large-scale organizational development initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and workforce transformation projects.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and HR data to identify trends, predict staffing needs, and recommend data-driven interventions to improve productivity and engagement.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to design and implement compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies to build a robust and representative workforce capable of meeting the sector's diverse demands.
  • Oversee the integration of HR processes during mergers, acquisitions, or significant operational restructuring to ensure seamless transitions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
    Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a proven track record in a strategic business partner capacity within the Energy, Utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex labor relations, regulatory compliance, and safety standards specific to the energy industry.
  • Strong proficiency in HRIS systems, data analytics, and workforce planning tools to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of organizational development principles, change management methodologies, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Ability to operate with autonomy, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment while maintaining a focus on strategic outcomes.
