Documentation of patient history, symptoms, and care is essential, along with educating patients, families, and caregivers about health needs and resources.
The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.
Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Completion of orientation and annual competency validation
- Experience in perioperative or OR nursing preferred
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor outcomes
- Assess and address patient education and psychosocial needs
- Document accurately and thoroughly
- Delegate responsibilities to team members
- Obtain required certifications within designated time frames
