Registered Nurse - Med​/Surg ICU

Role Overview: A registered nurse responsible for providing independent, routine, and complex patient care within a clinical setting. Demonstrates clinical competence, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to care providers to ensure quality care.

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant nursing specialty preferred; new graduates considered.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or via compact licensure.
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS within specified grace periods.
• Completion of onboarding and annual competency requirements.

• Participation in orientation and precepted training for new hires.
• Ability to meet certification deadlines for specialized training (e.g., PALS, TNCC, NRP).
• Work schedule includes full-time night shifts from 7PM to 7AM.
