Role Overview
A licensed registered nurse with independent practice in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care. Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to care providers to ensure effective care.
- Responsibilities:
Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation; address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs; administer medications and treatments per protocols; document patient information; assess learning needs; and educate patients, families, and caregivers. - Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred; active RN license in the state or a compact; required BLS and ACLS certifications; ability to attend onboarding and competency validations; and participate in orientation or residency programs as needed. - Key Requirements:
Maintain certifications within designated grace periods; demonstrate competency through precepted training; and stay compliant with organizational standards and policies.
