We’re seeking a Sales / Estimating Manager to help grow its presence across the Southeast region. This hybrid role combines technical estimating, commercial business development, and customer relationship management for a growing specialty construction operation. The position requires approximately 50% regional travel, with a company vehicle or monthly vehicle stipend included.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities with general contractors, building owners, developers, engineers, property managers, and construction partners.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, project scope, and applicable NFPA requirements to estimate materials, labor, equipment, and overall project cost.
- Prepare formal proposals, lead bid discussions, support contract negotiations, and help move opportunities from pursuit through award.
- Manage customer relationships, project pipeline activity, sales targets, and follow-up across the Southeast market.
- Partner with leadership, operations, and field teams to qualify opportunities, support project handoff, and strengthen regional market presence.
- 3+ years of experience in fire protection, life safety, specialty construction, project management, sales estimating, or a related trade.
- Strong ability to read fire protection drawings, construction documents, specifications, and bid packages.
- Working knowledge of NFPA codes and commercial fire suppression system requirements.
- Experience preparing estimates, proposals, takeoffs, budgets, or project pricing.
- Understanding of AutoCAD, Auto Sprink, SprinkCAD, Service Trade, or related industry software preferred.
- NICET certification, CFPS certification, or related technical credentials preferred.
- Existing relationships with contractors, owners, engineers, developers, or construction decision-makers in the Southeast region strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, negotiation, and ability to manage multiple pursuits at once.
