The Jaffrey‑Rindge Cooperative School District seeks a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction for students in our general special education program at Conant Middle School.

In this highly collaborative environment, the teacher will design and deliver instruction that meets Individual Education Plan (IEP) requirements, differentiate lessons, and support students’ academic and behavioral goals.

• Develop accurate student records, reports, and paperwork required by district, state, and federal mandates.
• Create safe, secure, student‑centered learning environments.
• Communicate expectations clearly for academic and behavioral achievement.
• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson materials to support student success.
• Maintain collegial relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Complete paperwork and reports within mandated timelines.
• Collect and analyze data for progress monitoring using a variety of resources and tools.
• Support students’ behavioral needs to maintain a safe, productive learning environment.
• Implement de‑escalation techniques and support instructional associates with daily assignments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services or Building Principal.

• NH DOE certification to teach K‑12 General Special Education (or the ability to obtain a Statement of Eligibility). 

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Citizenship, residency, or eligible work visa required.

• Additional certification in elementary education is desired.
• Understanding of differentiation practices, teamwork, and collaboration.
• Commitment to student‑focused systems and innovative, creative thinking.

• Extra $1,500 for all Special Education teachers.
