Millipore Sigma seeks an Automated Equipment Specialist 2 to support, maintain, and optimize automated systems used in biotech and pharmaceutical production. In this role, you will perform routine and corrective maintenance on robotics, automated filling and packaging lines, and laboratory automation equipment to ensure high uptime and compliance with GMP and safety standards. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues, implement calibration and preventive maintenance plans, document work in CMMS systems, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations.

You'll contribute to continuous improvement and equipment upgrades in a highly collaborative, science-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on automated production and laboratory equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize downtime
  • Calibrate sensors, actuators, and instrumentation and document activities in CMMS systems
  • Support equipment qualifications, change controls, and compliance with GMP and safety standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Assist in installation, commissioning, and upgrade of new automation and robotics systems
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide maintenance and repair work
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze failure trends, and recommend continuous improvement actions
