Principal Responsibilities- Oversees extrusion operations, equipment maintenance, quality, waste/scrap, documentation, and production output
- Responsible for key performance metrics communicating the good and the concerns to all levels of the department Leadership (i.e. engineers, managers, supervisors, etc.)
- Help lead and motivate operators to meet targets. Ability to remove obstacles when needed
- Helps supervisor develop staffing requirements and equipment assignments
- Train team members on machine operations, process and procedures (SOPs)
- May be required to assist in procedure documentation and training development
- Provides training, guidance and direction to operators
- May be asked to conduct quality checks, assist in root-cause analysis, problem solving and reporting issues to Supervisor, assists in implementation of corrective action
- Acts as liaison between production operations and Lead/Supervisor and maintains communication between shift operations
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime
- Must be able to adapt to change in fast paced environment
High school education or equivalent required
5 years manufacturing experience required
Machine operations experience, working independently and in a team environment
Medical Devices experience preferred
Specialized Skills / Other RequirementsStrong written, verbal and analytical experience required
Knowledge in Microsoft Office;
Word, Excel, Power Point
