Procurement Manager (Jakarta, Indonesia)
Who we are
Ventós Group is an international company specialized in the distribution and production of Essential Oils & Aroma Chemicals with the Head Quarters located in Barcelona, Spain. The group has 9 subsidiaries around the world.
Currently, we are looking to strengthen our team in Ventós Indonesia by adding a Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement of Patchouli and other essential oils produced locally in Indonesia.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with farmers, distillers, collectors, and intermediaries to secure competitive and reliable supply sources.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key local suppliers to ensure consistent quality and volume availability.
- Conduct supplier audits and field visits to monitor production practices and ensure compliance with Ventós quality and sustainability standards.
- Evaluate purchase prices, production yields, and market trends to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Ensure all purchased materials meet Ventós quality specifications through close collaboration with QA and laboratory teams.
- Track market prices, harvest forecasts, production costs, and export trends for Patchouli and other local oils.
- Propose cost optimization strategies and purchasing plans based on market insights.
- Provide regular purchasing reports, forecasts, and risk assessments.
- Ensure efficient stock management and timely shipments to Ventós warehouses and global customers.
- Support budgeting and replenishment planning in collaboration with the regional HQ.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Quality departments to align purchasing volumes with commercial needs.
- Act as the main operational link between Indonesian suppliers and Ventós global sourcing organization.
- Support local and global initiatives related to sustainability, product development, and supply chain improvement.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Agronomy, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in essential oils or agricultural commodities.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and traceability in agricultural supply chains.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
