Position Overview

YCP is seeking Case Team Assistants on a contractor basis to support strategy consulting engagements across Asia. In this role, you will contribute to the analytical core of active client projects — conducting research, building financial models, and preparing client‑ready deliverables under the direction of YCP engagement managers.

This arrangement is ideal for junior or experienced professionals, independent consultants, or specialists seeking high‑quality project exposure with scheduling flexibility. Engagements are scoped per project, with clear deliverables and defined timelines agreed upfront.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop data‑driven insights to support client decision‑making, including market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and analysis of industry dynamics across Asian markets
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario planning frameworks
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, trends, and strategic implications
  • Prepare client‑ready deliverables including presentations, reports, and data visualizations
  • Support due diligence work streams for PE/M&A transactions (CDD / BDD)
  • Collaborate with the engagement team on hypothesis development and structured problem‑solving
  • Participate in client workshops and stakeholder interviews where applicable
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a top‑tier university (any discipline)
  • English at business level or above (written and spoken)
  • Native‑level proficiency in an Asian language (Japanese, Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, etc.)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools
  • Intellectual curiosity and a structured, hypothesis‑driven approach to problem‑solving
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Availability to commit to project‑defined timelines and deliverable schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in strategy/management consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, audit, or law
  • Background at a Big 4, strategy firm, or boutique advisory
  • Additional Asian language skills
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis and valuation methodologies
  • Programming and data analytics skills (Python, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
  • Track record of delivering independently as a freelancer or independent consultant
