The Role

Contract Specialist (Indonesia)

We’re looking for a Contract Specialist who looks beyond what is just in front of them, is instrumental in driving successful project execution through consistent and commercially sound contract lifecycle management. This role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and will work in close collaboration with the Senior Contract Manager. The role will report into the East Asia Contract Management Leader.

What will you do?
  • Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including:
    • Customer contracts
    • Supplier and vendor agreements
    • Service agreements
    • Etc.
  • Manage contract lifecycle, including:
    • Contract change management (variation orders, contract renewal, etc)
    • Claims management
    • Contractual risks and opportunities assessment
  • Ensure contracts comply with internal policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a business partner to internal stakeholders by providing contract interpretation and guidance.
  • Support Senior Contract Manager on complex projects.
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • 3–5+ years of experience in contract management, project management or a related role
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial risk, and negotiation principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including letter drafting
  • Commercial mindset
  • Experience in variation and change management
  • WCC CCM Practitioner (not mandatory)
