Corporate Finance Associate

Reporting directly to the CEO – Renewable Energy & Sustainable Biomass. PT Biomasa Jaya Abadi ("BJA") is a renewable energy company that specializes in producing sustainable wood pellets, providing a green alternative to power generation using sustainable wood biomass. Our low‑carbon pellets are manufactured and shipped globally from our base in Gorontalo, Indonesia, and we supply clients across various sectors, primarily focusing on large‑scale power generation in Japan and South Korea.

• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support operational planning, debt and equity financing, and capex expansion decisions.
• Prepare compelling investment proposals and presentations for equity shareholders, covering new capital expenditure projects and strategic growth initiatives.
• Serve as a key communication bridge with shareholders, lenders, and external stakeholders – producing clear, professional, and fluent English correspondence.
• Partner closely with the CEO on strategic financial analysis, scenario planning, and fundraising narratives.
• Support due diligence processes, financial reporting, and investor relations as the business scales.
• Conduct occasional site visits to our Gorontalo operations when project needs require on‑ground understanding (infrequent).

• Proven experience in corporate finance, investment banking, project finance, or a related field.
• Strong financial modelling skills – comfortable building models from scratch, not just filling in templates.
• Minimum working experience of 3 years.
• Strong analytical capabilities to process information and understand business models.
• Extensive working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of ownership and drive.
• Enthusiastic problem‑solver, able to navigate through new situations with no precedent.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact, liaise, and build strong relationships with all levels of management across the business.

Jakarta, Indonesia (head office). Occasional travel to Gorontalo may be required, but is not expected to be frequent.
