Tax Manager

Job description and key responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation, review, and timely submission of all tax filings (VAT, WHT, CIT, and other applicable taxes).
• Ensure accurate tax calculations, payments, reconciliations, and tax provisions.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations, government decrees, and other relevant tax legislation, and ensure timely implementation across the Company.
• Provide tax advisory support for business initiatives, new products, contracts, and operational matters.
• Review agreements and transactions to identify and mitigate tax risks.
• Lead tax planning initiatives and support tax‑efficient business structures.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, objections, and disputes with tax authorities.
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulators.
• Ensure effective tax governance, internal controls, and documentation.
• Lead and develop the tax team while driving process improvements and automation.
• Support tax work streams in fundraising, due diligence, and M&A activities.
• Coordinate with group‑level finance on consolidated tax reporting across the group's multi‑jurisdictional structure.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related fields.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in taxation, including at least 2 years in a managerial or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, including VAT, WHT, and Corporate Income Tax.
• Strong knowledge of transfer pricing regulations, including TP framework documentation and cross‑border tax treaty application.
• Experience managing tax audits, assessments, and disputes.
• Experience in DJP or tax consulting is preferred.
• Proficiency in tax technology and ERP systems, including e‑Faktur, Coretax, and/or accounting software tax modules.
• Certificate Tax Brevet A and B, C is preferred.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
