Deputy Head of Maintenance

Deputy Head of Maintenance is a senior‑level executive responsible for overseeing the upkeep, repair, and reliability of an organization’s physical assets, facilities, and equipment. They ensure operational efficiency, enforce safety standards, and minimize facility downtime through strategic planning and team leadership.

• Strategic Planning: develop and implement a maintenance plan to ensure continuous operations and asset longevity.
• Team Leadership: recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and staff; evaluate performance and assign daily duties.
• Budget Management: oversee the maintenance department’s budget, control costs, and analyze performance metrics to improve financial efficiency.
• Compliance & Safety: ensure all facilities and work procedures comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Vendor Management: negotiate contracts and coordinate with external contractors or vendors for major repairs and specialized services.
• Inventory Control: monitor the inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials to prevent supply shortages and costly operational delays.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project maintenance or facility management within retail or food & beverage industry.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience with budget management and vendor management.
