The Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN) is a globally and regionally focused non-government not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to provide policy expertise and technical assistance to advance building energy performance and realise sustainable built environments for all. GBPN is based in France and with its global team in Indonesia, India, China, Africa, Australia, and Europe, GBPN brings over 10 years of knowledge and innovation to sustainable building policy reform.

GBPN goal is to contribute to the building sector achieving its full energy savings and CO2 mitigation potential of more than 2.1 Gt by 2030. To do that, GBPN assists governments and industry to implement climate change actions in their building sectors that help achieve their commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Net Zero Emission.
GBPN works using a unique coalition model that connects local policymakers and building professionals with industry-leading experts to reform building policies to achieve their climate goals. We combine global insights with local action changing building policy through education, support and collaboration.
GBPN’s operation in Indonesia started in late 2019 and has continued to grow. Last year, Yayasan Gema Bhavana Pramudita Nusantara (GBPN) was established in Indonesia with a strengthened commitment to further create sustainable climate solutions in building decarbonization. We have provided policy and technical assistance to policymakers, private sector, academicians/researchers and other key stakeholders to support the government in meeting its climate goals through the building sector.
To ensure a successful delivery of our projects, we are seeking 1 (one) Project Assistant to mainly provide assistance to the Yayasan management and act as the Internal Relations or the point-of-contact for administrative related matters for the Yayasan Board. In addition, s/he will provide support to multiple projects in non-technical matters, particularly on event preparation/ logistics.
Scope of WorkThe Project Assistant, working under the supervision of GBPN Indonesia’s Program Manager and Senior Manager for respected projects. As for the Internal Relations role, the candidate will work under the supervision of the GBPN’s Country Managing Director and in coordination with the Yayasan Board.
The Project Assistant’ Scope of Works will include, but is not limited to below areas:
- Administrative Support
- Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes (if needed).
- Maintain project documentation, files, and records.
- Update information in the GBPN’s project management tools and shared folders in the Google drive regularly.
- Handle correspondence and communication with stakeholders.
- Logistical Support
- Arrange travel, accommodations, and event logistics for project teams.
- Facilitate procurement of project materials and resources, including but not limited to hiring vendors and requesting and managing event budgets among others.
- Ensure all event data is accurately recorded and maintained.
- Support Communications Manager for event-related communications needs (if needed).
- Board Support and Coordination (for Board of Trustees, Board of Supervisor and Board of Management)
- Support Board members in planning/ scheduling, organizing, and executing Board activities.
- Track Board timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate and facilitate communications between Board members and other key resources, including GMG, to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure outputs adhere to GBPN’s organizational policies and procedures, as well as to that of Donor’s and Indonesia’s regulations.
