EXPORT MARKETING & COMMODITY SOURCING SPECIALIST

Export Marketing & Commodity Sourcing Specialist responsible for identifying and developing new international buyers while sourcing suppliers and products in Indonesia. The role involves prospecting, negotiation, and managing export transactions across commodities including charcoal briquette, coffee, coconut products, spices, and agricultural products.

Key responsibilities

Search for and develop new buyers and customers from abroad

Conduct prospecting through Linked In, Google, B2B marketplace, trade database, email, and other channels

Communicate, follow-up, provide quotations and negotiate with buyers until closing

Analyse countries and potential markets for various commodities

Source suppliers and producers in Indonesia according to buyer requirements

Compare supplier pricing, quality, specifications, MOQ and capacity

Understand export transaction processes from inquiry to shipment

Handle and coordinate documents, permits, freight forwarders and export processes

Assist in calculating costing, selling price and margins for export transactions

About you

Minimum 2 years of experience in Export Sales, Export Marketing, International Trade or Commodity Trading

Must have experience sourcing foreign buyers

Active English language capability, especially for business communication and negotiation

Understanding of Incoterms (FOB, CFR/CNF, CIF, EXW) and international payment methods such as TT and LC

Understanding of basic export documents and procedures

Strong sales, negotiation and closing capabilities

Able to source and negotiate with suppliers

Proactive, target-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities

Willing to undertake business travel to suppliers and factories if required
