Ambulatory Care Clerical Support Specialist

Pay Range: $24.89hr - $29.89hr Job Overview:
Provides clerical desk assistance in the Ambulatory Care Center. Retrieves all phone calls, takes accurate messages, and relays this information to the appropriate parties. Provides excellent customer service when communicating with patients, staff, and vendors. Maintains supplies, prints daily clinic schedules and disseminates printed results to corresponding parties. Coordinates the timely retrieval of all incoming prescription / paperwork requests and ensures the delivery when complete.

Responds to all staff needs in the Ambulatory Care Center related to necessary communications with other floors, disciplines, and / or outside clinicians / facilities. Detailed Statement Of Duties:
Covers the desk in the Ambulatory Care Center from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Respond to all telephone calls in a timely manner and refers calls to appropriate parties. Retrieve all messages and reports messages to appropriate parties. Retrieves all incoming prescription / paperwork requests and disseminates for completion; processes all outgoing prescription / paperwork and ensures delivery. Stock paper in fax machine, copier, and both printers (also monitors each machine for needed service and request services as needed).

Retrieve information from both printers and fax machines and disperses to appropriate person / place. Check supply levels and orders as needed. Maintains adequate levels of forms in the supply closet, at the desk, EHO, and in the form station. Take mail to mailroom and retrieves mail from mailroom. Printout clinic schedule for the next day. Maintains adequate supplies of EHO Needle Stick packets and New Employee packets.
