Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday + every other weekend
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Compensation

• Local Rate: $77/hour
• Travel Package: $3,701/week gross

Position Overview

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a state hospital assignment in Boston, MA. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to float to any unit based on staffing needs.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care within a correctional healthcare environment while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Accurately document patient care and treatment updates
• Educate patients and families on care and treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and Nursing Assistants
• Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience
• Ventilator experience required
• Tracheostomy care experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• IV therapy experience required
