We are excited to invite applications for the 1st Shift Heavy Equipment Operator role at our facility in Jamestown, CA.

• Collaborate closely with shavers to achieve production targets for wood shavings.
• Ensure shavers operate at optimal efficiency by maintaining logs, filling shaver boxes, and monitoring equipment.
• Determine log specifications prior to unloading and ensure the log yard is kept organized for inventory accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of wood shavings produced.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and warnings within the plant.

• Safely operate various industrial equipment, including articulated wheel loader, knuckle boom, and skid steer.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of machinery through regular maintenance and cleaning.
• Work with truck drivers to ensure a safe and efficient flow of movement within the log yard.
• Manage the logistics of wood and logs throughout the yard while prioritizing safety.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate safely around personnel and other machinery.
• Be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

• Engage in monthly safety meetings.
• Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in necessary training sessions and demonstrate proficiency in required tests.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical capability to bend, squat, or stoop.
• Previous experience with mobile equipment and forklifts is required.

Preferred experience as an Industrial Machine Operator: 1 year.

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour.

• On‑site at our Jamestown, CA facility.

Working days:
Monday to Friday.
