JobOverview
The Accounts Payable Accountant will handle day‑to‑day responsibilities related to the company’s accounts payable functions. This position is located in Warsaw and will report to the Global Accounts Payable Manager in Warsaw. The role involves a wide range of processes, with the goal of understanding and implementing improvements and standardization.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with vendors on resolution of outstanding accounting cases (e.g., rejected invoices, statements of accounts)
- Upload, code, and book invoices in the system; support transactions and resolve issues
- Daily handling of shared AP mailboxes
- Follow up and resolve open balances and inquiries
- Review and approve vendor master data changes and employee expense reports
- Support employees from specific locations with accounting/payment issues
- Perform month‑end closing tasks
- Prepare payment proposals
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed
- Strong knowledge of AP processes and P2P areas
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable department
- Experience in transferring processes from companies, implementing improvements, standardizing, and creating process documentation
- Experience using cloud‑based financial systems – ideally Netsuite, Coupa, Stampli, and Emburse (advantage)
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in a fast‑paced scale‑up environment (highly desirable)
- Great communication skills and a constructive mindset towards challenges
- Ability and willingness to learn; self‑driven, proactive, and flexible
- Feeling of ownership and responsibility for tasks; team player with a can‑do attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; college or university degree is a plus
