AboutThe Role
The Accounts Payable Accountant will handle day‑to‑day responsibilities related to the company’s accounts payable functions. This position is located in Warsaw and will report to the Global Accounts Payable Manager in Warsaw.
We are looking for an energetic and self‑motivated professional, happy to have a hands‑on role and to get involved in a wide range of processes, in order to understand and implement improvements and standardization.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborating with vendors on resolution of outstanding accounting cases (i.e. rejected invoices, statements of accounts)
- Uploading to the system, coding and booking invoices, support transactions and resolve issues
- Daily handling of shared AP mailboxes
- Following up and resolving open balances and inquiries
- Reviewing and approving vendor master data changes and expense reports for employees
- Supporting employees from specific locations within accounting/payment issues
- Performing month‑end closing tasks
- Preparing payment proposals
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes and P2P areas
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable department
- Experience in transferring processes from companies, implementing improvements, standardizing and creating process documentation
- Experience using cloud‑based financial systems – ideally Netsuite
- Coupa, Stampli and Emburse experience is an advantage
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in a fast‑paced scale‑up environment highly desirable
- Great communication skills and a constructive mindset towards challenges
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Self‑driven, proactive and flexible
- Feeling of ownership and responsibility for the tasks
- Team player, with can‑do attitude
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
