We are currently looking for an Senior VAT Accountant to support our Finance Team.
In this role you will support the establishment of a VAT function within LTG Poland, contributing to the creation of a centralized team responsible for VAT across the EMEA region, while ensuring compliance and supporting business operations.
What you will do:- Ensure VAT compliance across EMEA entities, including timely and accurate VAT returns and filings
- Monitor and interpret VAT regulations, assessing impact on business operations
- Support the establishment and development of a centralized VAT function in LTG Poland
- Review and validate VAT treatment of transactions (sales, purchases, cross‑border flows)
- Cooperate with finance, logistics, and external advisors on VAT‑related matters
- Support VAT audits and respond to queries from tax authorities
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance VAT accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain VAT documentation and ensure proper controls are in place
- Cooperation with external companies providing VAT compliance services
- Cooperation with Tax Office
- Knowledge of VAT regulations, preferably in an international environment
- Experience in VAT, tax, or accounting area
- Ability to analyze transactional data and apply correct VAT treatment
- Good Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain VAT topics in a clear and simple way
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop VAT expertise
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support cross‑functional stakeholders
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- German language skills will be considered an advantage
