Receptionist - Part-Time Hultquist Place Assisted Living | Jamestown, NY
Starting Rate: $16.00/hour

Hultquist Place, Lutheran's welcoming assisted living community, is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. Reporting directly to the Administrative Assistant, this position serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff while helping ensure the smooth daily operation of our front office.

Schedule

This position averages 20-25 hours per pay period and includes a combination of weekday evening and weekend shifts:

  • Weekdays: 4:0 PM - 8:00 PM

Schedules vary based on departmental needs and may include a mix of weekday and weekend hours.

  • Welcome and assist residents, visitors, family members, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls; take accurate messages as needed
  • Support front desk operations and provide exceptional customer service
  • Maintain resident records, charts, and confidential documentation
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating resident transportation
  • Perform filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and other clerical duties
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies
  • Operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines
  • Assist with staffing schedules and administrative projects as assigned
  • Provide coverage for the Administrative Assistant during absences or as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Current students are encouraged to apply
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
