Harbour Site Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee harbour site activities.
• Ensure all PPE is up to date.
• Coordinate crane and forklift operations.
• Monitor stock and warehouse areas.
• Manage maintenance of site facilities.

• Maintain PPE records.
• Maintain storage records.
• Maintain calibration and certification records.
• Complete facility safety checks.

• Assist the project HSE department with harbour site‑specific issues.
• Manage safety equipment, including PPE and climbing gear.
• Maintain inventory records and track the use and service life of PPE.
• Manage site stock for building consumables.
• Authorize all onshore forklift and crane operations and organize crane availability.
• Carry out daily housekeeping across the site and vehicles.
• Manage general site upkeep.
• Conduct building, facility, and site boundary safety checks.
• Monitor and record site electricity and water usage.
• Coordinate with port waste management contractors.
• Manage site office deliveries.
• Coordinate with the shipyard, site security company, and local site contractors.
• Be available for call‑out duty outside normal working hours.
• Input data for all PPE that requires certification.
• Maintain a quarantined area for damaged tools and PPE.
• Support the construction management team with ad‑hoc tasks.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual building safety checks.

• Authority and responsibility will be agreed at the specific project.
• Generate proposals for supplies to be purchased.
• Propose new PPE equipment to be ordered by site management.
• Screw (scrap) failed PPE and lifting equipment.
• Contact local suppliers for minor urgent jobs such as plumbing support.

• Preferred background as a craftsman or storage keeper.
• Preferred experience managing calibration of tools and defining quarantined areas.
• Recommended three to five years of experience in a similar position.
• Preferred local knowledge.
• Preferred forklift and crane certificates.
• Recommended three to five years of relevant work experience in wind and/or construction.
• Preferred experience gained on a construction site.
• Candidates should bring their own safety boots.
• Candidates without forklift and crane certificates will still be considered if willing to obtain them soon.

• Candidates must hold Polish occupational health certification.
• Candidates must hold BHP certification as recommended by the project’s HSE Advisor.
• Candidates must be fluent Polish speakers.
