Location: Town of Poland
- Analysing project requirements, technical, design and tender documentation, and scopes of work.
- Preparing offer, investor and tender cost estimates.
- Developing Bills of Materials / Bills of Quantities based on project documentation, Scope of Work or Request for Proposal, including situations where project documentation is incomplete.
- Calculating costs of construction works and non-construction / non-structural requirements.
- Preparing quantity take-offs, valuations, material lists and cost breakdowns.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain price offers.
- Analysing supplier and subcontractor offers and preparing cost comparisons.
- Preparing cost estimates and budget forecasts, where required.
- Analysing project costs and preparing comparative cost analyses.
- Preparing offer and tender documentation.
- Supporting profitability assessment of offers and identifying cost-related risks.
- Maintaining and updating the cost database.
- Monitoring changes in prices of materials, services and labour.
- Cooperating with the tendering department, designers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Experience as a Cost Estimator, Tendering Cost Estimator, Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Experience in preparing cost estimates for tender processes.
- Experience in developing BOM or BOQ documentation based on project documentation, Scope of Work or RFP documentation.
- Experience in cost estimation for non-construction / non-structural requirements.
- Practical knowledge of the construction industry.
- Ability to read design, technical, tender and contract documentation, as well as technical specifications.
- Knowledge of the bidding process and principles of preparing tender documentation.
- Ability to analyse costs, prepare budgets and develop cost comparisons.
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of cost estimating software.
- Accuracy, responsibility and strong attention to detail.
- Negotiation skills and experience cooperating with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ability to work as part of a team, communicate transparently and cooperate with various stakeholders.
- Experience in cost estimating or budgeting high-value projects will be an advantage.
- We are looking for a Cost Estimator / Tendering Cost Estimator with experience in construction and in preparing cost estimates for tender processes.
- The person in this role will be responsible for analysing design and tender documentation, preparing cost estimates, developing BOM/BOQ documentation, and supporting the bidding process.
- This role is suitable for a detail-oriented, analytical and well-organised professional who is confident working with technical documentation, specifications, scopes of work and cost data, and who can cooperate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information.
