Ukrainian–English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Providing consecutive interpretation between Ukrainian and English for Ukrainian-speaking individuals residing in the US or the UK who are unable to communicate in English.
• Handling voice and video calls with various public institutions, including:
• medical facilities,
• police stations,
• emergency services (911).
• Ensuring clear, accurate, and professional communication between all parties.
• Responding with empathy and composure, especially in sensitive or emergency situations.

• Excellent command of Ukrainian and English (both spoken and written).
• Strong listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• The ability to empathize with callers while remaining professional.
• High stress resilience, particularly when dealing with distressed or incoherent speakers during emergency calls.
• A stable wired internet connection and a quiet working environment.
• Availability to provide services on a regular basis, according to the contractor's declared availability.
• Legal access to the Polish labor market and valid work authorization documents.
