The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Requirements- Strong publication record in international journals indexed in JCR-Web of Science (in the discipline of biological sciences).
- Teaching experience, including the one at the academic level.
- Active participation in scientific conference.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Polish in speech and writing.
- Good collaboration in a research team, documented by a former supervisor’s or PI’s opinion about the candidate.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork as a part of research team in a reedbed habitat for three months annually.
- Experience in the research of birds nesting in wetlands (in particular reedbeds) evidenced by publications in the international journals.
- Experience in a fieldwork in a research team.
- Conducting a research on breeding and migratory ecology of Eurasian reed warblers, as a part of research group working in the area of Milicz fishponds for about three months annually.
- Preparation of scientific publications.
- Preparation of grant application.
- Active participation in scientific conferences.
- Teaching courses in the areas of zoology, ecology and environmental protection.
- Supervision of BSc and MSc students.
- Contribution to the organizational activities of the university, faculty and department.
- Photocopy(s) of the diploma certifying doctoral title or post-doctoral degree.
- Statement whether the University of Wroclaw will be the primary place of work in the case of winning the competition (download Workplace Statement ).
- Declaration of the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline the percentage of their involvement in each of these disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline ).
- Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).
- List scientific publications in the last ten years.
- Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
- Written opinion of aformer supervisor’s or PI’s opinion about the candidate, including the information about her/his engagement in the activities of research team.
