Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.

• PhD in biology or in disciplines that are related to biological anthropology, human biology or human ecology.
• Scientific publications from the most recent List “A” by MNiSW (journals awarded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education) related to the studies on human bones orteeth (including also historical and prehistorical populations). What is also important, it is the scientific activity in the last few years.
• Teaching experience in human biology or human ecology or physical anthropology.
• At least 3 months’ work experience as an assistant or adjunct/associate professor.
• Good knowledge of Polish and English.
• Experience in laboratory work in scientific projects in biology or medicine will be very welcome.

In the research area:

• Conducting the research studies in human biology area.

In the teaching area:

• Teaching activities for UWr students.

In the organizational area:

• Participating in all other department activities (e.g. organizational or science popularization).

• A photocopy of the diploma confirming obtaining the academic degree of doctor (with a copy of the master's diploma).
• Statement whether the University of Wroclaw will be the primary place of work in the case of winning the competition (download).
• Declaration of the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research, and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline, the percentage of their involvement in each of these disciplines (download).
• Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).
• List scientific publications in the last ten years.
• Electronic versions of two publications (or manuscripts of unpublished works) considered by the candidate to be representative of their scientific achievements, confirming the competition requirements.
• Declaration – article 113 the Law on Higher Education and Science (download).
