Skills/Qualifications

Applicants must meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and satisfy the following qualification criteria:

• hold at least a doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of Medical Sciences;
• have authored at least seven scientific articles published in scientific journals or chapters in scientific monographs or academic textbooks, and be the author or co-author of at least one scientific monograph or academic textbook, all published within the ten years preceding the competition;
• have participated in scientific conferences and have actively contributed to the organization of scientific conferences at a higher education institution during the last four years;
• have at least ten years of teaching experience at a higher education institution;
• have experience in managerial positions or as a member of governing bodies at a higher education institution;
• have not been subject to disciplinary punishment during the last five years.

Additional Qualification Criteria

• license to practice as a medical doctor;
• postdoctoral degree (Habilitated Doctor) in Medical Sciences;
• 74 articles published in international scientific journals included in the list of the Minister of Science and Higher Education during the ten years preceding the competition;
• Number of citations according to the Web of Science Core Collection database:

Selection process

Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit:

• an application for employment;
• copies of diplomas and documents confirming education and professional qualifications;
• copies of documents confirming professional experience;
• a declaration confirming compliance with Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science;
• a declaration stating that, if selected, the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl will be the applicant's primary place of employment;
• consent to the processing of personal data for recruitment purposes;
• a criminal record certificate from the Polish National Criminal Register (KRK) concerning offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction, or corresponding offences under foreign law (required from Polish citizens and foreign nationals);
• a declaration listing the country or countries in which the applicant has resided during the last 20 years (other than Poland and the country of citizenship), together with criminal record certificates from those countries issued for professional or voluntary work involving contact with children (required from Polish citizens and foreign nationals);
• a criminal record certificate issued by the applicant's country of citizenship for professional or voluntary work involving contact with children, together with a certified translation, if applicable (required from foreign nationals who have resided in countries other than Poland or their country of citizenship).
