Dean of Faculty/Head of Organizational unit, on behalf of the Rector of Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology announces a competition
for the position of assistant professor (F/M) in the group of research and teaching

Research Field Agricultural sciences » Zootechnics Education Level PhD or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

The candidate must meet the following qualification criteria:

• hold a doctoral degree in the discipline of animal science and fisheries;
• have experience in working with animals;
• have documented popular science and/or scientific achievements in the form of published articles;
• completed courses/trainings in the field of animal production/animal nutrition;
• in the case of foreign candidates, have sufficient spoken and written proficiency in Polish to conduct classes with students.

Specific Requirements

The responsibilities of the assistant professor will include:

• conducting classes with students of the following fields:
  Animal Science, Veterinary Inspection, Zoophysiotherapy and Animal Care, Veterinary Medicine in the field of, among others, feed science and nutrition of farm animals and pets as well as animal production,
• undertaking organizational activities for the Department, Faculty and University,
• carrying out administrative tasks related to the teaching process,
• preparing popular science publications related to the delivery of teaching activities,
• preparing applications for funding research and teaching projects,
• conducting scientific activity within the field of agricultural sciences, in the discipline of animal science and fisheries, including scientific research, conference activity and the preparation of scientific publications.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate: aptitude for working with students, availability and creativity, high standards of personal conduct, the ability to work on tasks independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Eligibility criteria

Competition procedures are conducted in accordance with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment of Researchers (OTM-R).

The contest will be adjudicated no later than three months from the date of this announcement.
