The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa announces an open competition for the position of assistant professor in a group of full-time research and teaching positions in the Department of Security Sciences
Candidates may participate in the competition provided that they meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).
A person may be employed as an Assistant (Research and Teaching Staff Group) if they hold at least a Master s degree, a Master of Engineering degree, or an equivalent qualification, and possess academic or teaching competencies relevant to the scientific discipline represented by the candidate and to higher education teaching within the field of study in which the candidate will conduct classes, namely:
- Academic and teaching competencies relevant to the scientific discipline or the field of instruction.
- In addition, the candidate must simultaneously meet the following requirements:
- hold a Master s degree or a doctoral degree in the field of Security Studies, Defence Studies, International Relations, or Political Science and Administration;
- have completed higher education studies in the field of Security Studies, Defence Studies, Political Science and Administration, or International Relations;
- possess a scientific record within the represented discipline, demonstrated by original scholarly works published in reputable journals and publishing houses;
- have experience in teaching courses in the areas of International Relations, International Military Relations, International Security, National Security of the Republic of Poland, Security Strategy, International Organizations, and Contemporary Security Threats;
- demonstrate a high level of commitment to teaching, organizational, and outreach activities;
- have a good command of the English language;
- submit a declaration concerning the field and scientific discipline represented;
- submit a declaration consenting to be included among the staff members conducting scientific research activities.
