VICE-RECTOR IN CHARGE OF THE SCHOOL OF NATURAL SCIENCES AT THE ADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY, POZNAN ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION for the position of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR located in the Institute of Human Biology and Evolution at the Faculty of Biology.
RequirementsResearch Field Biological sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications- A PhD degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of osteology and paleopathology.
- Experience in conducting research on human skeletal remains using 3D methods.
- Experience in data analysis using the R programming environment.
- A documented publication record in reputable international peer-reviewed journals, including leading journals in the field of biological anthropology.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience as principal investigator of at least one externally funded research project.
- Completion of at least one research stay or internship at a foreign research institution.
- Active participation in at least one international anthropological scientific conference.

- competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents;
- formal evaluation of submitted proposals;
- call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary;
- selection of candidates for the interview stage;
- interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements;
- the committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates' work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments with an opportunity for student evaluation;
- the chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates; this information will include justification with a reference to candidates' strengths and weaknesses; submitted documents will be sent back to candidates (not applicable for documents sent by e-mail).
