The candidate applying for the above-mentioned position must meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and § 89, section 1, item
2) of the University Statute - Annex to Resolution No. 71 - 2024/2025 of the Senate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) of 31 March 2025 on the draft amendments to the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the draft consolidated text of the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).

Required documents:

  • 1) employment application addressed to the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW);
  • 2) personal questionnaire (form issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) or by email);
  • 4) statement confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (form issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) or by email);
  • 5) copy of diploma/certificate confirming the award of a doctoral degree and/or a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociology (or sociology), or another document confirming the possession of a doctoral degree and/or a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociology (or sociology);
  • 6) list of scientific achievements, including a list of scientific publications with the number of points earned;
  • 7) confirmation of project management or completion of a research internship;
  • 8) a list of teaching and organizational achievements;
  • 9) a statement or copy of a certificate confirming at least good knowledge of English or another congressional language.
  • 10) a declaration from the candidate regarding the declaration authorizing them to be included among employees conducting research activities (so-called N number) if employed at SGGW.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate is expected to:

  • hold at least a doctoral degree in social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociological sciences (or sociology) and have distinguished and internationally recognized scientific achievements in the field of sociological sciences;
  • have experience in conducting scientific work in the field of sociological sciences, documented by appropriate achievements in the form of authorship or co-authorship of at least 20 scientific monographs or chapters in…
